The account is the container.
Stocks, ETFs and cash are what you put inside. Everyone can explore these simulated accounts regardless of age. Choosing one does not open an account or change your allocation values. Personal taxes are not calculated.
No TFSA/RRSP contribution-room limit or special tax shelter. Providers set opening requirements; minors may need a parent or guardian arrangement. Interest, dividends and realized capital gains can be taxable, with different tax rules. Ownership and attribution rules can affect whose tax return reports income.
Official CRA account rulesDirect crypto is not a qualified investment for a TFSA, RRSP or FHSA. This tool lets you explore asset types without asserting that every holding is eligible for your selected account. CRA qualified investment rules.
Real references, fictional money.
Refresh Yahoo prices to fetch recent quotes for visible assets. Yahoo quotes may be delayed and use their own market timestamps. When unavailable, the original seven stocks and ETFs retain the verified October 1, 2026 reference closes; all listed tradable assets now have a dated Yahoo snapshot when available. Any unavailable snapshot uses an explicitly illustrative practice price. Prices remain fixed until refreshed. Refreshing updates reference share counts, not your fictional dollar allocations. These references explain approximate fractional shares; your entered CAD allocations define the portfolio.

Generic bond categories use illustrative CAD $100 practice units, not real bond quotes. Bond ETFs and crypto can use Yahoo quotes for estimated units. No future yields or returns are assumed. All balances are fictional CAD allocations. This is an educational portfolio tool, not financial advice.
